Beograd (Belgrade) is a Serbian electro-pop four-piece formed in 1980 in the capital of the former Yugoslavia.
The band has been influenced by the aesthetic, sound and success of international electronic acts such as Kraftwerk, Depeche Mode, Ultravox and Human League. They played a pioneering role on the Yugoslav synth-pop scene. Their debut studio album called Remek Depo, released in early 1983, was highly successful. However, the group disbanded soon after album release.
To mark the 40th anniversary of its original release, the much sought-after album has now been remastered from original master tapes and will be re-released on 180g coloured vinyl.
