Jean Cocteau La Méditerranée. Original signed lithograph print, poster, menu, and card with envelope, produced for a restaurant that Cocteau used to frequent. In 1942, La Méditerranée opened its doors at 2 Place de l'Odeon and became an essential part of Parisian life. Jean Cocteau, a close friend of Jean Subrenat who was the owner at the time, designed the original logo and provided artwork and writing for the restaurant that was used for signage and on plates and menus.
