Ladies, Please! MaryAnn Camilleri A Drag View of the Nineties. Introduction by Tom Hedley. 85 pages. Published 1994. A collection of works by Canadian photographer and publisher Marian Camilleri “Ladies, Please!”. Her career started as a photographer, and this is a collection of portraits of “Drag Queen”, which was shot over the course of five years around 1990. Her five-year project chronicled the drag scenes in Toronto and New York, noting that drag was “a celebration of energy and life. It’s in your face in a very light way and I think that’s why people like it.” Unique illustrations taken at gay events such as Halloween in Toronto, Pride Parade, and Wigstock in Manhattan.
