Slave Promotional Poster

About this product

Slave Debut Album Promotional Poster from 1977 on Cotillion label. Features a Black model as Atlas, the Greek Titan condemned to hold up the sky for eternity, photographed by Shig Ikeda. Slave formed in Dayton, Ohio in 1975. They were part of a wave of funk bands emerging from Ohio at the time, a group that included The Ohio Players, Zapp, and Sly Slick and the Wicked. They sound like George Clinton and P-Funk performing during an acid trip.
