Chinotto welcomes Protopapa, fresh off remixes for Italian national treasures Raffaella Carrà and Loredana Berté AND his own debut album! For our eighth Singles Club release, the Salento-born, Milan-based multitasker channels many hot summers DJing seaside for a breezy, sexy track rooted in his love of bawdy disco.
Swapping electronic sheen for a sparser and seductive percussion-forward approach, Protopapa keeps his signature lyrics sung-spoken in a baritone and teams up with David Blank, whose voice made hits out of tracks by Rollover DJs (and, if we can say so, Whitney Weiss). Big toms and a funky bass anchor cosmic synths while a pair of voices invite you to sweat with them. Fun! Alluring!
For the first time ever, we’re going the traditional single route for this one: an A-side for radio play, a spacier B-side for club play.
