Whether remixing Beyoncé or going on forever as half of The Carry Nation pulling recent 13+ hour marathon sets at their latest Brooklyn function, Nita Aviance is a triple threat whose originality cannot be imitated or replicated. As a New York nightlife fixture and member of the House of Aviance, Nita has built up her chosen city’s scene through acclaimed residencies, large-scale parties, and bonafide raves. She also DJs around the world, including repeat sets at THE NYC Downlow at Glastonbury and Panorama Bar. With an encyclopedic knowledge of music that goes far beyond house, we’re evangelicals for the distinctive groove and unapologetic eclecticism of Nita’s solo productions and therefore beyond excited for this single. “A Word” blissfully swirls and unexpectedly samples, fully hypnotic and very hot. “I Luv U” catches you immediately with its eternal-sigh intro then unfurls into everything you’re missing about chill room sets in the mid-90s.
