For our fourth Tarocco Singles Club release, we welcome back someone who remixed a track from Chinotto’s first EP! Quickweave is a producer from New Orleans raised on the divine feminine of his family’s matriarch singing in the famed Zion Harmonizers and the life-changing vocals of 90s house hits by way of his high school girlfriend’s car stereo. His friendships with some of the city’s hottest session players lend his productions an edge most people could only dream of and this release is no exception. Tenor sax from Amari Ansari swims along with percussion by Ngoma Numu on the soulful A-side “You & Me” while a guest vocal from New Orleans chanteuse Queen Shereen glides over funky keys, ready to earn its place in your heart. Rooted in history but fresh and of now, anyone who appreciates an immaculate groove will find something to like here.
Available digitally and on limited edition mother-of-pearl marbled 7-inch vinyl (100 copies only) the purchase of which includes an unreleased mix of “You & Me.”
